Your home is the elegant and exclusive Borgo Bernardini – a retreat immersed in a splendid parkland with ornamental ponds, antique fountains, courtyards, and Italian gardens. With original features and picturesque views over the hills and olive groves, this luxury villa is a perfect place from which to tour Tuscany.

Beginning in Florence, this tour takes in the picture-perfect towns of Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, Siena, and the Cinque Terre. This is an unprecedented opportunity to experience the best of Italy’s most beautiful region, with the company of like-minded travellers and expert planning by A&K and Travelcall.

Tour arrangements and inclusions:

Day 1: 3rd June (Florence – Villa Borgo Bernardini)
Private coach transfer from Florence airport to the beautiful Villa Borgo Bernardini, situated in the heart of Tuscany, close to Lucca. (Individual transfers can be arranged accordingly).

Day 2: 4th June (Pisa, Lucca)
In Pisa, see The Leaning Tower and Piazza del Miracoli. Enjoy lunch at Viareggio, along the sea front, and stroll the walk along the picture perfect promenade. In the afternoon, visit Lucca, discovering its churches and piazzas.

Day 3: 5th June (Siena, San Gimignano)
Explore Siena with a three-hour guided tour, before enjoying lunch in Piazza del Campo. After lunch we continue onto San Gimignano where you’ll have time to explore the souvenir and local artisan shops at your leisure. Head to a nearby winery for a wine tasting, before returning to the Villa.

Day 4: 6th June (Day at Villa)
Enjoy a leisurely day relaxing at the villa before meeting for an afternoon cooking class and with the Villa’s resident expert chef. You will learn the secrets of making traditional Italian pasta (various forms including tagliatelle and tortellini or ravioli) as well as preparing antipasti, a main course of meat, and a delicious tiramisu to finish. As a reward for your efforts, you’ll finish by feasting on the delights you and the chef have prepared.

Day 5: 7th June (Florence)
Step into the past of this storied city with a tailor made walking tour. Visit the beautiful Jewish synagogue, discover the secret passages of Palazzo Vecchio, stop to savour Florence’s main monuments and squares, and, time permitting, delve inside the Duomo (Florence’s famed cathedral). Lunch is in a traditional trattoria. Sample delights from local artisans (thea blindfolded chocolate tasting and ice cream experience is a highlight!) and stroll along the Ponte Vecchio marvelling at the works of local goldsmiths. Lunch is in a traditional trattoria in town.

Day 6: 8th June (Cinque Terre)

Travel by private bus to the seaside town of La Spezia. From here, travel by ferry to Porto Venere, then on to Monterosso for a three-course lunch in a lovely local restaurant. Next stop is Vernazza for a guided tour, before continuing by rail to Riomaggiore for another guided tour of this fascinating fishing village.

Day 7: 9th June (Day at Villa)
Enjoy one last day of relaxation at your beautiful villa, with the option of heading out for a lunch at a local winery, and/or a stroll around the gorgeous, Greve in Chianti. Enjoy a final farewell feast back at the villa for dinner.

Day 8: 10th June (Depart for Florence)
Departure transfers from the villa to Florence airport by coach, with supporting luggage van.
